June 2017 Sisterhood News

Shalom! Hooray, a late spring has finally arrived. 2016-2017 has been a wonderful year for Sisterhood. We all had a good time at our membership brunch with an exciting talk by our very own Maris Blechner. This was followed by our Torah Fund brunch, where we honored Carol Lieber. Our first annual Chanukah Gift Shop and bazaar was a tremendous success. Vendors have approached us to do it again. The trip to the Nassau County Museum of Art was beautiful and our docent made it more interesting. The Purim Project came off without a hitch. Many Sisterhood members helped make it so successful. Our annual Woman’s Seder was fun, inspirational, and educational as always. Sisterhood gathered together to share this unique Seder.

We are looking forward to our end of year event. On June 14th, at 8:00 pm we will have a challah bake. We will learn step by step how to make a challah. We will also learn the significance of challah. Yum! Please join us.

Thank you to all the women who have helped conceptualize and implement our programs. Have a wonderful summer. We look forward to a strong Sisterhood with exciting programs next year.
