Israel Day – Our Expression of Support

The world is a scary place right now for the Jewish people.  Our children, no matter how young, are not oblivious to this.  For many of us parents, we want to help them understand and be involved, but also to stay safe while doing so.

On Sunday, October 22nd, Family Connections gathered to help our children support Israel.  We enjoyed babma, halvah, and Prigat juice while we made crafts with an important message – Am Yisrael Chai.

Armed with Israeli flags and chants to show our support, we marched around the block.  It was a small act that was so empowering for the families.  We kept everyone safe with our security guard, and came back inside to continue with our program.

One of the greatest successes of Israel Day was the introduction of our fundraiser.  Families (especially children) will be able to collect some much needed funds for the IDF, while earning some awesome prizes along the way.

Moving forward, we will continue to find ways to support and encourage those in Israel and those at home.  If you are interested in knowing more about, or participating in, our fundraiser, please email Nicole at .
