Shabbat Tzav 5782
We continue reading the instructions about the different sacrifices this week in Parshat Tzav. Once the Torah lays out all these details, it’s time to plan the big event–the initiation of formal worship in the mishkan. This is shaping up to be a great event in the lives of Aharon, the new High Priest, and his sons. Eventually, this ceremony will be marred by tragedy; but for now, the details are meant to build excitement, like any good event planner would do!
My goal in offering the weekly musical scavenger hunt is to entice people to read the Torah portion carefully, as well as to have some fun with music. Even if you don’t care for the video clips, it’s worthwhile to read the parshah anyway. For those who want to play along, why did I think of these songs?
Answers will be revealed after Shabbat minhah, which begins this week at 6:45 PM.
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and happy listening,
Rabbi David Wise
