Staying Warm at Shul

Winter is back…we knew it was on the way but we are never quite prepared.

We are always trying to find ways to stay warm; fire places, Hot Chocolate, extra blankets, raising the thermostat, scarves, gloves, boots, etc.  All of these ideas can help keep our hands and feet warm but we also need to make sure to keep our hearts and souls warm too. COME TO SHUL! The walls of our synagogue are here to embrace and blanket you with warmth and love.

Join us on Shabbat, let us pray together, sing together and enjoy kiddush together. I love seeing and hearing all of you sing along with me. Aren’t Tony’s “Kiddishes” the best! June doesn’t have to make lunch for me any more after shul. Being in shul truly nourishes our hearts and souls and it warms us from within. HHBJC is our home away from home. We are family! There’s no better laugh than a “shul laugh”, we talk and kibbitz together after davening and it puts a smile on our faces.

Come to our Lunch & Learns, Adult Ed with our Rabbi Wise, our Sisterhood events, Men’s Club events, Mah Jongg Club…Oh yes, our Yiddish Club & Learn to Daven class too!

Our first Yiddish Club get together will be on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4th at 8:00 PM. We will “shvitz” from laughing so hard.

Look for the HHBJC emails, check out our website or call the Synagogue office any time about dates and times of all our events, classes & programs.

Let’s not get glum because it’s cold outside, come to shul and you will definitely warm up and be surrounded by friendship, love, spirituality, fun & laughter.

See you in Shul.

Cantorially always,

Cantor Sol Zim
