Shalom! This season is a busy time for Sisterhood. Thanks to Jo Ann Luquis for making our Challah Bake such a success. She even made a “How To” packet for everyone to take home.
Once again our dedicated Vicky Wolkofsky created a delicious and interesting Purim Misloach Manot basket. Thank you to all of the Sisterhood members who helped assemble them. Our HHBJC members truly enjoyed the Purim baskets that the Sisterhood members distributed after the Megillah reading. A good time was had by all.
On Sunday, April 7th at 1:00PM the Mah-Jongg Cub has its last regular play of the season.
BQLI Region held its Helen Ctryn Study Day on April 3rd. Several of our Sisterhood members participated in and enjoyed the event.
Don’t forget to make your reservations to come and see a real treat – a kosher cooking demonstration by renowned chef Paula Shoyer on Sunday, May 19th at 10:30AM. We have to cap reservations at 40 people so don’t lose out.
We are all looking forward to learning, in two lessons, how to make our unique and beautiful tallit. Lessons by Judy Greene of Marathon Jewish Center will be on Sunday, June 2nd at 10:00AM (watch for possible date change) and Monday, June 24th at 7:15PM. Plan to come to both sessions.
We are happy to honor Linda Liederman as the HHBJC honoree at the Woman of Achievement Awards and Dinner Gala from the BQLI Region on June 13th.
Watch for a special end-of-season mah-jongg event on Sunday, June 23rd.
Please join us at our next planning meeting, which will be announced shortly.
