I am still on a high from our beautiful Simcha 2017 Dinner Dance. It was truly a night to remember, filled with warmth, love, community, delicious food, great music & togetherness!
The union of HHJC and BJC will always be etched in my heart as “bashert”. This unification has beautifully expanded our congregational family. HHBJC is our home away from home, our center of prayer, spirituality, Jewish culture, Jewish Music and simply our beloved community.
All the honorees at our 2017 Dinner Dance were so deserving of our tribute! Congratulations to the Bildsteins and all the Bayside Jewish Center honorees. We love you and we thank you all!
Summer is here and we are now looking for ways to stay cool. You know one of my favorites…low fat ice cream, any flavor. But, sometimes when June hides the ice cream from me, my other escape from the heat is to sit at the piano and compose. For me, this is relaxing as it is what I love to do. Remember, you all (my HHBJC family) will be the first to hear and try out my new compositions. So get ready to roar!
I am now preparing some of my programs for this coming year, which will begin after Succot.
Due to popular demand…our YIDDISH CLASSES are coming back. Dates to be announced during the High Holiday season. We will kibitz a little, share some geshreys of laughter and definitely have a little nosh together.
I am also planning our ”LEARN TO LEAD A SERVICE” program.. I know how much many of you love to sing along during the services, now you will have the opportunity to learn how to lead a service. This will be a special time of sharing, learning & togetherness! Dates to be announced during the High Holiday season.
By the way, I am also planning a major CONCERT. Date to be announced soon.
As we welcome summer, let us pray for good health and peace.
See you in Shul.
Cantorially always,
Cantor Sol Zim
