Sisterhood April 2017 News

Hooray! Spring is finally here. Although March was challenging weather-wise, the Sisterhood had a month that brought joy to all our hearts.

The Purim Project, during which we made and distributed Shalach Manot packages, went off without a hitch. We had fun. Everybody enjoyed their deli-themed baskets designed by Vicky Wolkofsky, and we made money to give to charity and support our synagogue. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated. Well done ladies! Special thanks to our chairperson Maris Blechner.

On March 26th, we celebrated our annual Women’s Seder. Maris Blechner helped in updating our Sisterhood-created Haggadah. Rabbi Ellie Shemtov led the Seder, and Esther Beckoff volunteered her musical talent. This event was educational, spiritual and fun for all.
Please visit the Sisterhood gift shop, and check out our Passover items.

On June 14th, we will be having our end-term challah bake. Stay tuned for more details. We hope to see you there.
