Shabbat Vayakhel-Pekudei/HaHodesh 5781

I spent some time this week online with Hadar at their annual Rabbinic Yeshiva Intensive, and in addition to the great Torah I got to learn, they also shared a playlist of some of the new gems from the Rising Song Institute. Check out this catchy melody by Batya Levine.

There’s a lot of Torah to be read this Shabbat–a double portion, plus the fourth and final special maftir in the weeks that lead up to Pesah. Much of it will look familiar, as Vayakhel and Pekudei tell of the fulfillment of the instructions given in Terumah and Tetzaveh. But I’m not just going to give you the same songs I gave you two and three weeks ago, am I? Of course not. I still want you to read the Torah portion carefully and discern why I chose these tracks in relation to our readings, including the special maftir passage for the Shabbat closest to Rosh Hodesh Nisan.
